Black British History x Public History Network Stakeholder Event

Join the team behind the Black British History x Public History Network and invited speakers to discuss what’s next for the network

Black British Public History Network: Safeguarding Black British Histories.

In this event we will be discussing ways to safeguard Black British public history ventures and engagement, define our network’s directions and goals, and engage with colleagues in this field to help shape and direct the Network’s future.

We will be asking:

  • What are some of the pressing issues impacting Black British public history and its practitioners?
  • What can a network such as this do to support and advocate for BB public history practitioners?
  • What, if any, are the practical solutions that we can begin applying both in the short term and long term to safeguard ventures?

We will be hearing from guest speakers, cultural heritage specialist and founder of Black History Walks, Tony Warner, educator and author of The Lizzie and Belle Mysteries, Joanna Brown and others on their experiences with Black British history in the public space. We also wish to hear your thoughts, experiences and desires for the future of Black British Public history.

Please join us online on 26th March at 6:30pm
